Introduction

This is it. I am going to make a proper Let's Play of Fallout 3. It will be filled with thrills, chills and... well, pills. This is Fallout 3 after all.
I must admit I have installed quite a lot of mods (which means even more pills!). This means I am not going to make a "let's beat this game!" type thing. Instead this will be kind of like a never-ending thing. I was going to play Hardcore mode, but after testing out the mods I have installed I realized that I would only be able to make one entry before my character would be dead. Which would be kinda boring. So I'll just update this as long as I bother to. It all depends on the feedback I get as well, so you all better be active!

Here is a list of my modlist, with the loadorder:

Now, on to the game! I have made my character already, so all I need now is to introduce him and tell you a bit about him.

Meet Buzz. "Hi Buzz!"

This is his shack. I have no idea where it is, since this is the first Alternate Start I have ever.. er... started. But it is a shack, that's for sure.

He also has a bed.

And a kick-ass monitor with a Bobble-Head next to it. Neat! I was afraid I would miss that Bobble-Head when doing the Alternate Start. Those modders think about everything!

*joink*

Let's see. This looks a lot better than the G.O.A.T. I hate that test. Now name is already settled, so is the looks. Guess I'll jump to Disposition.

I want Buzz to be kinda nice, you know? He is not the kind of guy who kicks puppies for kicks.

So yeah. Give a little, take a little. I'll give a little lead to raiders, they give me a little lead back. That sounds like a good way to survive in the harsh Wasteland.

Hey! Buzz is a decent citizen! Easiest test ever! :D

Now for my SPECIAL Attributes. As you can see Buzz is all about the mind and body. Screw people.

He can also shoot some fools, blow up some stuff and then repair it all. Handyman Buzz.

Now this is interesting. I can choose his History. A lot of different stuff here, and it seems that some of them have quite the impact on how the game will be.

If I choose Raider for instance, he'll actually be a part of the Raider Faction. Means I won't exactly have anywhere to buy or sell stuff. I think.

Tough choice this. But I think I know what to do.

Oh yeah! Buzz the Mechanic! Now I don't have to worry about those goddamn robots that somehow still functions after 200 years of nuclear buttfuckery.
Let's exit this dump!

Alright! I am already level 2! Take that harsh wasteland! As you can see I give a long hard flying toss when it comes to sensible leveling, and I just pick whatever I want. This is gonna be so fun!

This was kinda sensible though. Mostly because the others are useless when you are a Mechanic.

After sitting through about five minutes of Quest pop-ups, various mod related notes and other fun stuff, I can finally check out my surroundings! Looking good! There is Tenpenny Tower...

...a very nice parking lot, followed by some wasteland...

...and a frikkin' old corpse. Nice.

Check him out! Buzz the Mechanic is out there! Seems I start out with the usual mechanic stuff. Some tools, a nifty overall, 50 bottlecaps and a Railroad Spike Shooter. Yeah, usual mechanic stuff my ass. He also has some bottled water, which sounds good seeing how I'll have to eat, drink and sleep due to a mod.

After some quick tinkering with the DarNified UI mod I can now always see with date it is, what time it is (European-style, which is the only way it makes sense to me) and I can monitor his rad-levels as well as how encumbered he is. Oh, and his Rad Resistance. That is very important, since the mods I run means that rads are more deadly than ever before. No more swimming then :(

If that isn't a good start I don't know what is! Tune in later for my first quest! I'm going to Megaton!
